Predictor - The conceptBotFu Predictor is a very simple game where you try to pick the winners of various sporting events (currently NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB games). You can make your picks any time up until noon EST of the day of a game. BotFu will then track the number of picks you get correct as well as the number you get wrong and calculate an accuracy rating for you. Compete with your friends and all the other BotFu members to see who really is better at picking games! Predictor - The rules1. You can make your picks any time up until 12:00 PM EST (noon) of the day of a given game. 2. You can log picks for future dates/games available in our system by using the provided links at www.botfu.com to flip forward through the schedule. Games are generally added to our system about one month in advance to their actual game date (so you can log picks in advance for about a month's worth of games at any given time). 3. This is a 'for fun' and 'for bragging rights' only game. At this time there are no prizes awarded for performance and results are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate (though we do our best to make our system as perfect as it can be at all times). 4. There is not cost to participate in this game (other than the personal time you commit to playing). 5. Game results are logged to your system once a day (generally around 7:00 AM EST) and account details are updated shortly after that each day. Predictor - Playing via email1. If you turn on your schedule alert, you will receive a daily email from predictor at BotFu listing out the games we have scheduled for that day. You can then simply reply to that email, listing out the team names of your picks before the usual lockout period of that day. This will log your picks for the day without requiring you to actually visit the site at any time. 2. For security reasons, once you email your pick selections to our bot, you will get an email confirmation returned to you. You must then respond to the confirmation email before your picks will be officially logged (this way we can assure that the person making the request is really in control of the email address the picks are associated with). 3. Schedule alerts will be sent to the email address associated with your account. If your account does not have an email address associated, or you the email address associated is not valid, you will not receive the schedule alerts and the BotFu email features will not be available to you. 4. If you choose to log your picks via email (or make other email based requests) you must send your emails from the same email address associated with your account (this is how our system will know what picks to log with your account). 5. You can also request the schedule for a different game day by sending an email to predictor at botfu.com (replace the word 'at' with the @ sign). Simply make the subject a format such as "schedule 10-03-07" (this example would give you the schedule for October 3rd, 2007). The body of the email will be ignored, so it can be blank or contain any text you like. This should allow our bot to send you the schedule with all games (and results if they apply) for the requested date. 6. You can also request details about your account by sending an email to predictor at botfu.com (replace the word 'at' with the @ sign). Simply make the subject a format of "account details". The body of the email will be ignored, so it can be blank or contain any text you like. This request should allow our bot to send you an email with your account predictor stats and some general standings information. 7. Emails to preditor at botfu.com that do not fit the specific format, commands, or process outlined in these rules will simply be ignored and discarded by the bot! This game is intended to be simple and fun. If you're having any troubles, or have any questions, please feel free to drop us an email at any time at info at botfu.com (replace the word "at" with the @ sign).
